High School Diploma or equivalent. College preferred. Four (4) years experience in grain elevator/seed operations or related area. Experience with barley grading and variety identification. Must exhibit/experience skills with grain storage practices, growers and excellent communication skills. Additional field/agronomy background helpful. Must be proficient with (Wonder Ware operating system, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Must have Valid driver's license. Ability to climb ladders, work at heights of 200 feet, lift 75 pounds and work in confined spaces. Load and unload grain trucks and rail cars.
Responsible for the daily operations of grain handling facility. Responsibilities include, but not limited to ensuring quality and identity preservation through binning and segregation with high regards to maximizing capacity utilization, supervision of employees, grain grading, sanitation, maintenance, facility operation, scheduling inbound shipments, scheduling of employees to complete required work. Must operate independently and have good, employee and customer interactions. Ensure adherence of VPO principles, company policies and procedures, and SOP evaluations.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
