Operations Engineer

Purpose
Directs and performs advanced level of engineering activities and project management.
Scope of Duties and Responsibilities
Direct and perform engineering activities relative to design of company pipeline and facilities including but not limited to:
Transmission and/or gathering pipeline systems and appurtenances
Measurement and regulation facilities
Compressor and pump stations
Processing, treating and dehydration facilities
Determine equipment efficiencies; hydraulic calculations; valve and pipeline sizing; and perform gas flow analysis.
Coordinate projects among regions, departments (Accounting, Operation, Construction, Plants, Scheduling, Customers and Gas Supply), and contractors including but not limited to:
Bid proposals and contracts
Equipment procurement
Construction and/or relocation projects
Budget and forecasting
Design, drafting and mapping
ROW acquisition
Provide technical and/or engineering assistance to management, employees, governmental/regulatory personnel, contractors, customers, and others on matters including but not limited to:
Meter and regulator settings
Equipment/system design
Pipeline sizes
Pipeline control
Pipeline facility design, construction, operation, and maintenance
Policies and procedures
Research, analyze, prepare, and/or approve information including but not limited to:
Engineering studies
Governmental rules, regulations, codes, and standards
Pipeline bid proposals
Construction contracts
Purchase contracts
Cost estimates
Material specifications/selections
Purchase requisitions
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience
Bachelor's degree in engineer with previous year's experience as staff engineer.
Experience analyzing piping plans to ensure compliance with established standards and governmental regulations.
Application of math, algebraic formulas, calculus, and statistics.
Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software.
Experience and training related to:
Transmission/gathering pipeline operations
Company/governmental operating and safety procedures
Line extension and relocation policies and procedures
Material failure investigations
Pipeline stress/strain analyses
Experience identifying, researching, evaluating, and prioritizing operational problems or specific situations and coordinating appropriate action/response.
Experience researching and preparing pipeline construction contracts, budgets, material requisitions, engineering studies, and correspondence.
Experience reading and interpreting governmental regulations, blueprints, contracts, manuals, specifications, surveys, charts, load studies, and various reports and correspondence.
Experience interacting, negotiating, advising, and communicating effectively.
Demonstrated ability to supervise, direct, and/or delegate work assignments. Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures (specified by position).
Demonstrated ability to examine, test, and evaluate new products, materials, and processes.
Experience developing information and making presentations to groups and individuals.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Certification/Licensing
Applicable driver's license for travel to other company offices, facilities and to job sites.
Physical Requirements
Mobility to travel in and around plant and office facilities and around job sites out-of-doors.
Ability to operate tools and equipment as required.
Communication Requirements
Communicate and exchange verbal information and instructions; conduct oral presentations.
Visual Requirements
Sufficient to perform job duties.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
